Pin Oak

Also called Swamp Oak, Pin Oak is a red oak typically found in the poorly drained soils along the banks of ponds and swamps. It is typically planted as a shade tree, but has been used for roof shingles, barrel staves, and furniture. It is light brown in color, heavy and strong.
